Day 25

I totally had a gaming day today and really had to force out my 3,500 steps! I did do it but it really is making me concerned for larger step counts.

Ah well, if I reach a step count that I’m having struggles getting to I’ll stay there for a while. But 4,000 should be achievable.

Day 23

Despite this being categorised as a Team RH post (because it’s my daily update post) I don’t actually have too much to report!

Everything is feeling really good and since starting this I’ve definitely had better mental health, which is probably more related to the exercise than the eating.

I’m not finding it hard to stick to my food goals on most days, though I’m still generally terrible at the fibre and protein goals.

My steps are maybe not getting as much attention as they should and I think I could start to struggle once I get to 4,000. I’m already having to check regularly and make sure I try to get to certain points by lunch. But then I wonder if maybe that’s the point. Regularly spaced exercise may be more long term achievable than a load of steps in one go.

I’ve 200 left to do today so I’m going to hop to it!

Day 22

Today went super fast with being back at work and having a family quiz night. It also meant I had to really push to get those steps.

I’m proud of making sure I reached my goal, as odd a feeling that is. I also met my fibre goal and got half way on my protein so all-in-all a good day!

Day 21

I met my 3,500 goal today!

It’s going alright now I’m getting into the swing of things. My weight is staying around the same as it always has been but that is to be expected as I’ve not been reaching the steps I should be (and eating more!!)

I got some protein bars at the shops today so I’m looking forward to snacking on them during the week!

Today was spent with a lot of reading! I powered through The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson and made a good way through The Hero of Ages.

Day 20

I upped my steps to 3,500 today. Technically I suppose it should be tomorrow with my whole 7-days then an increment but both my Fitbit and TeamHR run Monday to Monday and it was getting confusing.

So here we are!

It’s gone okay today and there’s not that much to report. I’ve found it hard to not snack but I don’t think I was hungry at all. I just wanted to eat.

Day 18

I feel as though the weighing in every day and calorie tracking is starting to become more natural. I actually thought I might’ve forgot to step on the scales today because I no longer pay attention to the daily number!

The mindset of weekly trends gathered via daily data is beginning to make sense and even when I have what feels like a “fat day” by weekly trend doesnt support it (even if the daily number might). I can see how people could become obsessed with the daily number though and I’m thankful I am able forget about it.

It was the start of a 4-day weekend today. I met my daily steps and topped off my water thanks to a bit of gardening while the weather was still nice.

I noticed I had my TeamRH app still set to 10,000 daily steps which was giving me the wrong food target. I lowered that to 5,000 as that’s closest to my current step rate and I’ll increase it again when 10,000 is more within range.

All in all, today was a happy day and I’m sure Planet Zoo had some part to play in that!

Day 14

I increased my steps to 3,000 today and hit it.

I had really bad cramp in my calf last night right below the knee and it made moving around today so painful. I really don’t know what caused it.

I’m not a stranger to cramp, I got a lot growing up and I think it has been realted to dehydration in the past but I know that wasn’t the cause this time.

Ah well, my step goal was still met, regardless!

Day 13

Once again, I managed to hit my food and water goal. I ended up working late at work so I didnt have quite as much evening time as I usually would.

I didnt let myself use that as an excuse to not have enough steps so I spent a good 20 minutes walking on the spot to get my step count up to 2,500.

I met my 2,500 goal 5 out of 7 days last week so I’m going to up my steps to 3,000 tomorrow.

Getting closer to that 15,000 goal!

Day 11

I hit my water target in the end, yesterday. After writing my post I spent the next hour and a half drinking my water and reading my book.

I still suffered the after effects of dehydrating today, though. It really taught me how valuable hitting my water target is.

All in all today wasn’t too bad. I hit my step goal, and went beyond it too. I’m feeling ready to up it to 3,000 but I also think it’s going to be much tougher than the 2,000 to 2,500 increase. I still don’t know how I’m going to manage 15,000 in a day. But one step at a time.

Day 10

Well, I didn’t come close to hitting my targets today.

I went over on my food, but that’s okay because I was under yesterday. I only got half way with my water and I didnt even get half way to my step goal… I did manage to hit my protein goal though with the help of some steak!

It was a weird day that started with working at 7:30 to prep for an 8:00 call. Then, before I knew it, it was lunch time. Then the end of the work day!

I did get to sort a lot of time playing Final Fantasy X and The Sims 4 so I enjoyed myself. Now to read The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson for a bit before bed!
